Andevoranto
I wanted to tell you readers about my favorite place in Madagascar, but it's not so easy to pick only one place from the worlds 4th biggest island. So I'll guess I only have to start with one today and fill this blog step by step with all the other beautiful places I have visited the last couple of years....
Andevoranto is a small village on the east coast, between Tamatave and Vatomandry. There are no Taxi-Brousse to take you there, but it should be possible to get there by boat from Brickaville, if not every day, so at least a couple of times a week.
The bungalows I use to stay in are just a few meter from the shore. They are fare from, luxurious but offers tourist that found the way to Andovoranto a nice place to stay. There are 4
Bungalows and they don't have many Vazah (white) Tourist, they actually don't have much tourist at all...
I was there the first time in September 2013 and turned back for a visit again exact one year later in September 2014. I was pretty exited and a bit afraid that all the kindness and peace I had
met and felt last year perhaps might only be only existing in my memory. But from the very moment I got out of the car everything was the same.
So why do I like this small village?
Here are the keywords:
QUIET, No other tourists....
Very FRIENDLY PEOPLE...
and most important of all:
This is one of the most PERFECT PLACES in Madagascar if you like to listen to THE SOUND OF THE OCEAN!!!
